Indy Summer Learning Lab

The Indy Summer Learning Lab (ISLL) is designed to provide students with a safe, engaging, and structured summer experience focused on academic enrichment, STEM exploration, and hands-on learning. This program includes enrichment activities, field experiences, community service projects, and social-emotional support to help students stay on track academically while building confidence and real-world skills.

How It Works

Through daily instruction in literacy, mathematics, STEM enrichment, and hands-on learning activities, students receive the support they need to close academic gaps while continuing to grow socially and emotionally. The program creates an environment where learning remains active, exciting, and meaningful throughout the summer months.

ISLL is more than a summer program—it is an investment in the future of Indianapolis youth. Students participate in academic intervention, project-based learning, educational field trips, cultural enrichment, physical activity, and team-building experiences that help them develop leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. By combining academics with enrichment opportunities, the program keeps students motivated, engaged, and connected to positive mentors and peers during a critical time of the year.

Many families depend on affordable, high-quality summer programming to ensure their children remain safe, supervised, and academically supported while school is out of session. Through community partnerships and donor support, ISLL is able to provide students with meals, educational supplies, transportation support, enrichment activities, and access to experiences they may not otherwise receive. Every contribution directly impacts a child's opportunity to learn, grow, and return to school better prepared for success.

Who Can Join:

Open to students entering 1st through 6th grade who are eager to learn, grow, and stay engaged during the summer months. The program welcomes students from diverse academic backgrounds and is designed to support both students who need additional academic reinforcement and those who are ready to be challenged with new learning opportunities.
